The Commission has received a request for a competitive response for provision of advanced services (high speed internet) pursuant to P.U.C. SUBST. R. 26.143(e). In accordance with the requirements of P.U.C. SUBST. R. 26.143(e)(1)(D), the Commission posts the following information regarding the request:

- Location of the rural area seeking the advanced services: Area around Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir in Hallsburg, just east of Waco in rural McLennan County.
- Any other information the commission deems relevant: Proposals for advance services must meet the definition of advanced services in P.U.C. SUBST. R. 26.143(c)(3), which generally provides that, at a minimum, the service be capable of accessing the Internet with a download speed of 200 kilobits per second in the last mile and an upload speed of 128 kilobits per second in the last mile.
Any company or advanced services provider interested in providing advanced services may submit proposals to the contact person within 50 days of this posting and must provide for deployment of the advanced service within 15 months of this posting.
