Senate Bill 2627
Commission Staff (Staff) will host a Texas Energy Fund public workshop on September 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Central Time. The workshop will be held in the Commissioners Hearing Room at 1701 N. Congress Ave. Austin, Texas 78701 (7th Floor). This workshop will discuss the Public Utility Commission' s implementation of the programs established in SB 2627 passed in the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature. Specifically, topics will include:
- Grants for Facilities Outside ofthe ERCOT Power Region as described in PURA § 34.0103
- Loans for Facilities Inside the ERCOT Power Region as described in PURA § 34.0104
- Completion Bonus Grants as described in PURA § 34.0105
- The Texas Backup Power Package Program described in PURA § 34.0201 - .0205
Staff invites interested persons to file proposed questions and topics for discussion no later than September 15, 2023. Proposals should be filed in Project No. 54999. Staff will consider proposed questions and discussion topics, then file a workshop agenda no later than September 18, 2023. The workshop will be broadcast on TexasAdmin.

How Can I Do Business With the PUC?
The PUC does not maintain its own bidders list. We are required to solicit pricing only from the Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL). If you are not a member, and are interested in obtaining information about the program, you can call CMBL Registration at 512-463-3459.

Payment Scheduling
State agencies must schedule vendor payments, and where appropriate, discounts for early payment.

The Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program is priority to the Public Utility Commission. The PUC actively encourages purchasing from, and contracting with, Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) to provide goods and services to support the agency's operations.
