PUCT's Jurisdiction
PUCT's Jurisdiction
The PUCT regulates the state's electric, telecommunication, and water and sewer retail public utilities, implements respective legislation, and provides assistance in resolving consumer complaints.
Commitment to You
DUO is committed to help retail public water and sewer utilities to understand, navigate, and achieve regulatory compliance with the PUCT.
TYPES OF PROVIDERS
Which are you?
For Retail Public Utilities to experience an online interface tailored to your needs, it's important to start with which type of retail public utility you represent.
Verify Your Information
We work to keep information on retail public water and sewer utilities current across Texas with a self-reporting database. Please check your current information, and if there are errors, please contact the PUCT to make water utility database corrections by emailing DUO@puc.texas.gov. Please also include a valid phone number so that we can call to confirm that the retail public utility is requesting the changes.

Handling Complaints
When consumers are unable to come to a satisfactory resolution with their provider, they may file a complaint with the Public Utility Commission of Texas' Consumer Protection Division.
MORE ABOUT COMPLAINTS
We are excited to offer the Faucet Facts newsletter, a quarterly update from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) on water and sewer retail public utility regulation.
